TNO Volunteer Program
The volunteer program at TNO plays a vital role in advancing our mission and our vision of creating of neighborhoods where everyone belongs. Our volunteers help us bring a positive impact on the lives of the clients that we serve. By joining our Volunteer program, you will not only help us succeed in our mission but also create an ecosystem for yourself where you give back to the community and build relationships that can last a lifetime.

Steps to Volunteer with TNO

Fill out our Volunteer application form by scanning the QR Code or click on the registration form link

You are required to select your areas of interest on the application form. If your areas of interest & availability match with our current vacancies the Volunteer Coordinator will reach out to you for onboarding formalities

The documentation that you will be required to sign if you are being onboarded as a Volunteer with TNO- Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA), Offence Declaration form, Parents Consent form to be signed by the parents if the Volunteer applicant is under 18 years of age, Volunteer Service Agreement. You may be required to file for a Vulnerable Sector check for some of our programs

Before you are onboarded as a Volunteer you will also be required to complete 3 online trainings and share the training certificates with us. These trainings are a) Worker Health and Safety Awareness, b) Customer Service Standard Training, c) Call it Out (Racism, Racial Discrimination and Human Rights)

Once you submit all the signed documents and training certificates we will then invite you to the Program Manager for a an orientation on job responsibilities and to discuss your schedule

Frequently Asked Questions
How old do I have to be to volunteer?
We welcome volunteers aged 14 and above to volunteer with us
What is the minimum time commitment required to volunteer?
The time commitment required may vary depending on the programs and/ or TNO events. Most of them maybe flexible and can be accommodated as per your availability while some may require minimum number of hours’ commitment. The details can be discussed with the Volunteer Coordinator
Will I be able to use my volunteer experience for professional purposes?
Yes. We are happy to provide references for your volunteer experience
Will you be able to provide me with a letter for my volunteering experience and hours?
Yes absolutely. Please reach out to the volunteer coordinator for volunteering letter
Will I need a Vulnerable Sector clearance for volunteering with TNO?
For some of our programs a vulnerable sector check is necessary, you will be informed about this during the onboarding process by the Volunteer Coordinator
Is Volunteering paid?
Volunteering is an unpaid opportunity wherein our volunteers donate their time, skills and effort to us
Does Volunteering lead to employment at TNO?
Volunteering may provide you with experience and exposure that will assist you in finding employment but does not guarantee employment with TNO
